The Southwest Shootout is four-game guarantee event hosted at surrounding high school venues. This 'Prime' event will feature full  social media coverage, player of the game (prime performer) recognition, and tournament champion awards. The Southwest Shootout was established in 2011 and was the of original  events that helped launch 2Dsports Baseball. Historically, this event features 40+ teams -- with a strong following from area College Coaches. 

All Teams will need to be able to play on Thursday for this event. Games will be played in the Lake Charles and Lafayette area and teams will need to be able to travel to either location to play throughout the event. 

No metal spikes/gum/seeds allowed on all turf fields (Legion/OD Johnson/SPAR Complex/Broussard Complex)

Due to covid-19, the majority of college venues across the country are unavailable for June, and some have extended their closures until July 31. Although Colleges cannot host games, most are still able to recruit this Summer. Along with having Colleges in attendance, 2Dsports will maximize player coverage through our social media channels which are followed by colleges across the country.
