Description

The Father's Day Slugfest is a is four-game guarantee event hosted in RICE and Sam Houston State University. This event will feature full social media coverage, player of the game (top performer) recognition, and tournament champion awards. 2Dsports will maximize player coverage through our social media channels which are followed by Colleges across the country. 


[CASHLESS GATE] Our new cashless system provides a more secure transaction and experience for both the customer and staff. The gate fees are $10/day, $5 Senior(65) & Military, 10u free + a ticketing fee of 5% + $0.99 cents per transaction; this fee covers the cost of the ticketing system provided by sLocal Tix. General Admission tickets can be pre-purchased using the link above; both General Admission and Senior/Military tickets are available at the gate upon your arrival. 


DIVISION FORMATS

UNDERCLASS - 3 Pool Play

Pool Winners and one Wildcard will play bracket (7 teams in Bracket Play)

Pool Winners and Wildcard will be picked based on normal tiebreaker rules if needed: Total Points, Head to Head, Runs Allowed, Runs Scored, etc.

All others will play consolation as fourth game

UPPERCLASS - 4 Pool Play

Pool Winners will play one Championship Final

  • No bad sportsmanship, poor behavior or verbal/physical abuse
  • No vandalism or trespassing on neighboring properties
  • No speeding, unsafe driving or cooking in the parking lot
  • No tens or chairs on the turf fields


SAM HOUSTON STATE PARKING GUIDELINES

The parking lot in front of Don Sanders Stadium and the parking lot in front of Ron Mafrige Fieldhouse are OFF LIMITS Thursday and Friday of the event. Parking is available in the West Lot (football lot) or the North Lot behind the softball field on those days.
