We kicked off the 2024 year with our Pre-Season South Mississippi ID at PRCC this past Saturday. This event featured many great up and coming players along with some well established players in the area. We saw some familiar names along with some new names that put themselves on the radar. SCOUT NOTES: Athletic frame with room to add. Flynt, a LHH with upright stance, slight centerline crossover, solid barrel control, uses entire field. On the bump Tyner has a smooth delivery, nice FB with good sink, a two plane CH and a quality CB.

SCOUT NOTES: Solid Frame with a balanced upper and lower half, presents well from a pitchers prospective. Hester is a RHH, slightly open/narrow stance, control throughout the swing, a direct path to the ball. Behind the dish Hester has a standard set up with a slight right foot drop, controls the zone with subtle glove movement, has a clean transfer that will continue to improve.

SCOUT NOTES: Graham, a Jones College Commit has a lanky frame with long legs and arms. Moves down the mound with good leverage and extension, has a lively FB with a snappy CB and a good subtle CH.

SCOUT NOTES: McCain has a very solid makeup with a balanced upper and lower half, good body control for a younger player. Zac is a RHH with a balanced set up, solid lower half, clean hand path and controlled aggression through the zone.
Behind the dish McCain has a standard setup with a slight right foot drop and open toe, catches the ball deep with a short jab step just before transition. On the mound Zac has a slight upright delivery with shorter arm action, FB shows some carry through the zone, BB has some nice movement. Good spin rate for a young player.
