We kicked off our ID workouts in 2024 with our South Louisiana Winter ID at Live Oak High School this past Sunday. This event featured many great up and coming players along with some well established players in the area. We saw some familiar names along with some new names that put themselves on the radar.

SCOUT NOTES: Hodges continues to impress each time out. The junior from Live Oak High School showed fast arm action with good movement on his 2 seam FB. He pairs that with a tight breaking ball with late break for a swing and miss pitch. Changeup had good life and sinking action. Commands the zone well. Look for Hodges to make a big impact this Spring.

SCOUT NOTES: Athletic sophomore from Westlake really made a name for himself. Turned in the best BP round of the day setting an event high 96.6mph exit velocity. Took a professional approach at the plate going gap to gap on a line. Showed pull side power with fast hands. Barrel worked through the zone on a plane that created good backspin.
